Mind Affairs is the professional home of a small number of independent clinicians who share a dedication to mental health treatment . Each clinician at Mind Affairs maintains an independent practice while sharing a commitment to disciplined, patient-centered treatment. You narrative, subjective experience and our objective findings dictate treatment. We work with third parties for if medical or safety concerns arise. The degree to which these organizations interact or or effect your treatment is entirely up to you.
Our clinical providers reject the modern formula of medicine defined by rushed transactional visits, mass production of online providers, rigid adherence to an algorithm or policy. Hearing your story is more important than frantically feeding the electronic record with not a moments glance up from the screen. You are not a medical record number, an ICD-10 code, or a dollar sign. Out duty is to understand where you've been, where you are, AND together make a plan to get you where you want to be.
Quality over quantity is our emphasis. We maintain a small panel to provide you with more time per visit, ensuring you won't face a busy waiting room or long delays for an appointments. Our approach is highly confidential and non-judgmental, combining evidence-based medicine with an openness to integrate nontraditional strategies. We achieve this by limiting third-party interference in the form of private/government insurance limitations, hospital conglomeration need for constant throughput and the often misguided pharmaceutical sectors.
Our practice operates on a private pay basis. Although we do not engage directly with insurance directly we can provide a "superbill" that many use for partial reimbursement by their plan.
